When ingredients were limited, and obtaining fresh fruit was a bit hit and miss, Rosemary had a couple of good dessert sauce recipes up her sleeve to put on icecream. She always had a can of evaporated milk in the cupboard, and a packet of cocoa. This one got her VG tick (Very Good!).

Ingredients:
- 4 x tablespoons cocoa
- 1 x cup of sugar
- 4 x tablespoons of boiling water
- 1 x 375 can of evaporated milk
- 30 x grams of butter
- 1 x teaspoon of vanilla
Method:
- In a saucepan, mix cocoa and sugar until there are no lumps
- Add boiling water
- Stir until smooth
- Put on cooktop on medium heat and gradually add milk, stirring
- When boiling, add butter
- Add vanilla
- Pour onto anything you like!
